I was once taught to 'code obvious, not clever’ - as a freelancer, it is critical that the code I handover is easy to understand, extend and integrate.

Keir's talk was an example of what great stuff the Drupal communiry can learn from non-Drupal people. It was refreshing to hear about the challenges he faces as a freelancer and how he tries to make the lives of other developers better and easier. Keir's a really good speaker, too.
