I had the wrong expectation from this talk. I thought we were going to dive into some extension code and see how we could create our own php/mysqlnd extension. Anyway it was very interesting to learn about the existing extensions we can use for our mysql use and how they can improve things for us.
It gave me some good ideas about what to do with mysqlnd. I'll try the master/slave in the near future. Talk did feel a bit like a wiki page. Summing information but not too much about why and the pro's/con's compared to other options.
