Michael's talk was very good and easy to follow. I enjoyed the group participation aspect of it. Constructive feedback would be to talk less about HACK and more about PHPNG, and more indepth about upcoming features and current RFC's, which IMO is the next generation of the PHP language/engine.
Mike's talk was hard to follow with all the flicking back and forth and it was difficult to hear him at times, but by the last quarter of the talk I think everyone grasped what was going on. The discussion/questions period after the talk was more informative I felt.
It was good being able to meet other PHP Developers in Glasgow. All from different backgrounds working on different projects.
Both talks were very informative. The first talk about PHP's Past and Future gave a detailed background of features that had been introduced throughout various versions of php. Gave me perspective on where PHP had came from and the direction it was going. I would have enjoyed it more if I been looking into PHP's internals more but was interesting none the less.
The second talk about Gush was good as well showing how Gush is a great way with efficiently dealing with issues and pull requests. Being able create pull requests for a repo quickly, with Gush generating the branch, asking questions about what you have done in your request and then pushing the pull request back to the repo. It required less commands whilst providing a uniform way for every single pull request.
Overall great talks and looking forward to next time!
