Groovy is an agile, dynamic programming language for the Java Virtual Machine allowing seamless 2 way integration with Java code and libraries. It should be part of the toolkit of all Java Developers.
First some history to set the tone for Groovy. Then a live demo to compare and contrast Groovy with Java code. Continuing with an outline of some Groovy techniques and finishing with some talk on how Groovy can be used to get a free web application deployed and running in minutes.
