The modern web is more interoperable than ever. Combining APIs for push notifications, offline support and getting an icon on the homescreen there has never been a more worthwhile time to use the Web to make native-like apps.

This talk aims to detail the benefits the Web can bring to you and how to best take advantage of the Web platform.

I am really interested in service workers and the things they make possible. This was a great talk but the thing I always hope to hear about PWAs is a number of engineer-hours needed to build them in comparison to their "equivalent" native apps.

Liked the manifest that is new for me, and the base consideration of having webApps and browsers more oriented to deliver them like native apps as shown in the talk - totally agree

Maybe I didn't fully understood the talk but, to me, it was a little bit inconclusive.
