At the beginning of the talk, Jeff said something to the effect that most of the concepts were applicable regardless of which cloud hosting service you use. My experience has been quite the contrary, but that could just be part of the problem with the way companies throw around the word "cloud."
That said, Jeff did a thorough job of recording screencasts ahead of time instead of trying to do a live demo. He then narrated what was going on and just took it at his own pace.

A good beginning overview of AWS.
The explanation of keys was important (kept me from using EC2 for a long time.)
The use of videos for the demo was a smart idea, and worked very well.
