Cal is very inspiring in person! His presentation was well focused and made it clear to me that I need to be doing more to be awesome. I have to work on giving back, and sharing what I know.
Spot on. Cal did a great job explaining what it's like to be a member of this community and inspiring the audience to get involved. The biggest thing I took away is that contributions to the community don't have to be building the next big extension, it can be as simple as routinely blogging cool shit you're doing. I'm probably the worst blogger in the world, but I'm going to implement Cal's advice.
Wish more people would take Cal's advice and give back! We don't want your money (unless you can fund a core dev) - we want time and docs and code and and and ... nice to see people pushing for involvement as payment for open source
This was a great talk/keynote. This is my first conference, and Cal's talk was the perfect way for it to begin. It was motivating, energizing, entertaining, and the perfect preparation for the conference ahead.
It was a great pep talk. He has a great way to motivate people and is very charismatic. I enjoyed it lots and tweeted a few quotes that will stick with me for a while.
A lot of us need this kind of push, and it's great to hear it again. I think my only recommendation would be more focus on specifics of how to get a user group going, or how to start speaking (that is, more "how-to" sprinkled in with the "you should").

Excellent keynote, stirred me up to get involved more than I have been...
As always, Cal is an excellent speaker with truly inspiring content. Great keynote, Cal!

Get out there and make something awesome.
Inspired to get involved with the PHP community more. Gonna check out the documentation team.
Lots of energy and great message!
Cal was quite motivating.
Great keynote!
Great message! Enjoyed hearing the stories and some practical ways to get involved in the PHP community.
Cal does a great job of getting you fired up to contribute to the community.

Just a pep talk. It was a great pep talk, but I wanted technical meat.

Good pep talk, but it did have a bit too much of a "this is a pep talk" feel to it.
Good keynote to start off a conference, especially on the topic of community's importance. That's the whole point of a conference anyway, isn't it?
Good start to a conference. Especially in relation to PHP. PHP has a great community and we need to continue to foster it.
A very inspirational talk that set a great tone for the conference! Definitely got me motivated to be more involved with the community.
Very good talk inspiring me to contribute more to the PHP community and pay back to those yet to come.

Enjoyed the pep talk. Made me more apt to attend a local user group meeting.
Like others have said, Cal is always motivational and inspirational. He should open *every* conference with this talk.
great talk!
