Starting with writing your own custom rules was a better experience than trying to 'learn rector' via other tutorials. This approach was completely backwards from how I've approached rector in the past, and Dave's approach worked quite well. Certainly for me, but the other folks around me were all engaged and 'getting it' too.

I've had to go through this, and I think Joe covered all of the important items. Great talk. I like that he mentioned the options to present to stakeholders.

Great talk Joe. Lots of practical, usable advice to takeaway from this talk. Thanks for promoting good practices, like tests and CI with various tools.

Great talk going into the endless debate of if a monolith is good or bad. Examples were relatable and the presentation went smooth.

A fun reminder of how to use SQL queries beyond "select * from users"

For me, this was the most interesting presentation so far. I really appreciated that you showed actual, running examples — that was truly impressive! MCP and agents definitely feel like the future, and I’m excited to explore how these concepts could be implemented in PHP.

Also, the demonstration of prompt injection via image was both amazing and a very frightening. Thanks again for such an inspiring and thought-provoking session!

Did a great job explaining an overview of infosec principles with concrete examples. I really enjoyed the prepared examples, and the logical flow of the presentation.
