Good diagnostic of the problem. Would love to have spent more time discussing and chewing on possible solutions. "Be more community" is good, but how do we get there?
Bonus points for courage under fire while the technology failed. I'm already doing most of this, but the overview of how to do issue template forms (rather than just template text) was very helpful. I should go set those up now...
"Relating this other field to programming" talks are hard to do without sounding glib or forced or pandering. This one managed to avoid all of those pitfalls. Excellently done, and the presenter is a natural performer.
Practical, real-world problems need different solutions than greenfield indeed.
