We have a double feature of talks this month.
Our first talk is given by Joe Ferguson. His talk is titled, Vagrant up and running with basic provisioning.
Come learn about Vagrant - a tool to create and configure lightweight, reproducible, and portable development environments plus provisioning options to automate the environment configuration. Vagrant lowers development environment setup time, increases development/production parity, and makes the "works on my machine" excuse a relic of the past.
Our second talk is Complete Code Reviews, presented by Thomas Langston.
In this talk we'll explore what options a team has when implementing or tweaking a code review process. Using content from the book Code Complete 2 by Steve McConnell as a guide, we'll talk about formality, effectiveness, and guidelines for effective group code inspections.
We are meeting at Southwest Tennessee Community College, 5983 Macon Cove Memphis, TN 38134. From I-40, exit at Sycamore View Road. Turn right at Macon road, then continue to the campus entrance. Take a left at the next road, then turn right.
We will be meeting in the Fulton Auditorium. The Fulton building is the first building you will pass on your right once you are on campus. The auditorium will be on the west side of the building.
Please tell anyone at your company or school who might be interested!
