Workers rights are under more attack now than ever, more than many of us realise.
Join UTAW Union at this fireside chat about why tech desperately needs a union, common misconceptions about tech and unions, and how joining the union movement is going to be crucial for protecting your rights.
Parul joined us as a member in 2021 when she had union support with multiple workplace issues (resulting in two tribunal wins) and has now started representing fellow members.
John is a founding member of UTAW, a long-time sysadmin and product manager, and now union official for the CWU in tech.
Eran is a data scientist freelancer and an organiser for the UTAW branch of CWU.

Really enjoyed this talk; the speakers were knowledgeable and helpful. I felt proud that OggCamp was tackling big issues like improving workers' rights and unionisation, and grateful that UTAW had this platform to have this important discussion. I really hope to see more from UTAW in the FOSS and free culture landscape in the future.
