Once again an excellent lightning talk from Ryan. he's set a standard that we are all used to now.
Great mix of seriousness and humour to get the point across. This could easily be fleshed out into a longer talk - ideal material for university students.
Really enjoyed this talk - and can't wait to find an excuse to use ZeroMQ in a project.
Roger's slides were excellent, clear and really easy to read, the demo showed how few lines of code are required and just how fast the messaging can be.
Very funny and interactive talk. Excellent use of memes and gifs.
Great use of demos!
The demo app was very quickly and easily deployed. Which was good, and indeed the point of the talk.
But symfony is a big beast of a framework and one with quite a learning curve, I'm not sure the fears some people may have with it would have been entirely settled by this demo - it still seemed very daunting for someone not already familiar with Symfony.
The code portion was quite hard to read at times - I'd suggest using screen grabs instead of real code that's difficult to work with on a small resolution projector. That also ties you into a flow through your slides and less jumping between files.
