A useful informative insight into the non-developer perspective of a web or digital project - told from the many varied experiences of a seasoned developer, the presenter in this video, Phil Bennett. A perspective every developer needs. Delivered through stylish and entertaining presentation material, that is also funny with touching real-life experiences. Thanks Phil! I enjoyed it and learnt from it. Sorry I couldn't be there in person to see it first hand. I was hoping that James would put it up so was happy to find it here. Thanks James too!

I found it enjoyable (including the drawings of CartoonPhil) and could also relate to a lot of what was said. The technical hiccup in the first part was slightly distracting, otherwise it was just the kind of presentation that was easy to take in later in the evening.

Thanks James and David,

Completely agree with you both, due to workload I hadn't had a really chance to properly run through and know it showed. think I'm going to thin down the content and focus more on the impossibilities of estimation and communication. Flesh it out and try again.

And yes James in answer to you question in the pub, I had been bitten by the bug, hadn't yesterday as I was a bit disheartened but woke up wanting to completely nail it a second time round.

Really enjoyed this talk, I felt it was paced well, clear, concise and delivered well. It made sense and got me interested in the topic which was great.

Good talk enjoyed this one.

I found the talk a little waffly, a few too many pauses and 'erms'. Hopefully with more practise it'll become more focused and the delivery more punchy and vibrant.

Very interesting insight into Phil's experiences, and I could relate to much of it, so this worked really well. The delivery was rushed though, which meant it was a little difficult to keep up I think. However, the content definitely made up for it - I expect everyone in the audience felt something that related to them in the talk. If this talk was a little more honed and rehearsed, this has potential to be a fantastic talk, especially considering this was Phil's first talk of this style. Would like to see more from Phil in the future.

Interesting topic but delivery was rushed. Good amount of content focused on the topic. Also, face the audience not the slides :-) otherwise, all good, especially for a first time talk. Keep practicing, definite potential here. Thanks for sharing Gareth!
