Ever made the same change in hundreds of locations across dozens of files as part of an upgrade? Would you like to have automated it in a safe way instead? Rector can do that! In this session we'll look at what Rector is and does, and how you can use its extensive collection of rules to safely automate bulk changes across your codebase.

This was an excellent presentation on what Rector is and how it should be used.
Chris was very engaging and the only issue that I had was in the contrast of the colors in the code samples being hard to read (I’m looking forward to looking at the slides later today so that I can see them). Chris did a good job of compensating for that by talking through each example clearly.
This is one of those talks where you spend the whole time dreaming about how you can implement this when you get back to work on Monday. Great talk with an excellent explanation of the key concepts, and a great start to the Rector Conference Universe of PHP Tek 2025.
Echoing Dana's suggestion, having lighter code (both in color scheme and lines) would help the presentation visibility.
Great talk digging into Rector. I had heard about Rector, but hadn't seen what it could do. The talk motivated me to learn more and give it a good try. Great talk!
Chris gave a great primer and intro to using Rector. I was familiar with the Rector project but the talk gave me enough inspiration and interest to actually try using and applying to a real-world problem. Paired well with Dave Liddament's workshop later that day. I would echo the feedback around code snippet visibility using dark-mode screenshots, but I was able to get the gist in the moment. Thanks for the talk!
This talk really shone a spotlight on Rector and all it can do
Thanks for the talk. I had a basic understanding of how to use Rector but this gave me a good refresher and explained several gaps in my knowledge.
As someone who's never heard of Rector before this confefrence, I really liked this intro talk. Gave great examples as well as basic explanations to the benefits of using it.
