Solid introduction into SPL from a very knowledgeable speaker. Especially good at pointing out the the quirks and pitfalls when using some parts of SPL, stuff you really need to be aware of when using the library.

I would have liked to see more practical examples of the use of the library though; when and how to use it to your advantage? Like the first example about the directory-file-filtering; it immediately made the power of SPL so perfectly clear.

Excellent talk on SPL, not just showing all the good parts of SPL, but also (or especially) describing the tricky bits. I liked that, as it taught me a couple of things to either stay clear of or at least keep a close eye on. Thanks!
