In March we will have another meeting in The Netherlands on Tuesday March 29, and Enrise has been very kind to sponsor this meeting in the center of The Netherlands. We are already making a selection of very interesting talks, and ofcourse you can meet up with known and new PHP developers and enthousiasts during the meeting.

Talk 1: Joshua Thijssen - 15 Pro-tips for MySQL users

Using MySQL is an art. Most of the time, the bottleneck of a website or application
are database performance issues. For instance, did you know about the penalties for
UTF-8 fields? Or about what can make or break your query caching? And what's the deal
with cardinality and selectivity and why is it important? During this talk, Joshua
will show you 15 practical MySQL tips found in his daily work that can help you speed
up your database and/or queries.

Talk 2: Evert Pot - Implementing WebDAV in your PHP application

WebDAV has been around for quite some time, and is at this point integrated in
every popular operating system. Since it's an extension to HTTP, this makes it
perfect to implement using PHP. Allowing the user to mount your application, drag and drop and use native
desktop applications beats a textarea and html file upload for things like
content and asset management. WebDAV will allow you to do just this without
having to resort to writing desktop clients.
This talk will use the SabreDAV library as it abstracts away many of the
client incompatibities and complexities.
