PHPSC Conference 2018

This Conference aims to discuss best practices on PHP technology and related areas such as design, development techniques, database, open source, agile methodologies, design patterns, etc. The event is held each year, preferably, in a different city of the state, and it happens in partnership with a local educational institution or company.

All of this is in line with the group's goal, which is to cross the state in order to get more people to participate, presenting PHP through the professionals who actually use the language, increasing the technical quality of the information discussed.

The conference counts on renowned speakers from outside the state, who are considered a reference in Brazil, for this purpose; but it also includes local speakers.

The event is non-profit. Since PHPSC is a nonprofit institution and an unincorporated organization, the sponsorship packages are raised to cover costs such as travel, accommodation and food for speakers. It is worth mentioning that the job of organizing such event was all done voluntarily by the group’s members.

It also helps promoting the educational institution where the event takes place, moreover teachers and students are invited to participate of the event as well.

Este evento tem como objetivo principal discutir melhores práticas sobre a tecnologia PHP e áreas correlatas como: design, técnicas de desenvolvimento, banco de dados, software livre, metodologias ágeis, padrões de projetos, etc.

O evento acontece anualmente, preferencialmente em uma cidade diferente do estado, e é realizado em parceria com uma instituição de ensino ou empresa do local onde o mesmo venha a ocorrer.

Isto está de acordo com os objetivos do grupo, que é percorrer o estado de forma que mais pessoas possam participar, apresentando o PHP através de profissionais que realmente utilizam a linguagem, e que levem a qualidade técnica das informações discutidas.

Trazendo, para este fim, palestrantes de fora do estado e que são referência no Brasil, mas também contando com palestrantes locais.

O evento é sem fins lucrativos. As cotas de patrocínio levantadas são para cobrir custos com palestrantes como deslocamento, hospedagem e alimentação, pois o PHPSC é uma instituição sem fins lucrativos e também não é uma pessoa juridicamente constituída. Sendo o trabalho de organização deste evento, realizado de forma voluntária pelos seus integrantes.

Este evento também ajuda a divulgar a instituição de ensino onde o mesmo é realizado, além do que, professores e alunos desta instituição também são convidados a participar do evento.
