Really useful information, but a little heavy on the legalese. I think the talk would be more impactful if it centered more on “let’s say you’re capturing this data; why is that problematic and how might you improve its handling?”

Thanks for the talk. It was very helpful for me and I'll be bring some things back to our management.

Super helpful to get a perspective from a legal professional!

Good information, but a bit disjointed and non-specific. Could have used better examples / clarifications.

Not what I was expecting, but still very interesting.

I enjoyed this talk very much. Jana was engaging and very clearly a subject matter expert. It would have been nice to hear/see some examples of separating concerns by country etc. it’s one thing to know it’s needed, it’s another to see examples of how to achieve it. Perhaps a co-presenter from the code side of the table would help solidify the “how” to complement this excellent “what/why” presentation, and could add depth for those working in smaller shops or working solo. All that said, it was extremely informative and very useful, thank you!!

I enjoyed this talk especially as it was from the legal perspective and not the dev perspective which gave me more insight. I would have loved to hear a 45-50 minute version of this.

Jana did a great job sharing her experience and insight. The subject matter might not be immediately applicable for every developer, but Jana demonstrated that it's crucial for developers to have a foundational awareness of the security landscape. Thanks!

Good information on understanding some of the implications of capturing user data.
