Loved the talk. Learned a bunch of new things that i wasn't aware of. I'd suggest everyone who uses vim to take a look and see if theres anything to learn, and everyone who uses an IDE, to look to see why to use VIM
Really good talk. I liked the audience participation where every section turned into a discussion on the best way to approach different problems and the various solutions people have used. I also like how there was a quick description of various commands followed by a demo of how they worked.
Typically I think one hour should be a maximum for a talk like this, but even after 1.5 hours I was still finding the talk interesting.
I think the most value was gained by those that have used VIM for a while and found a couple new commands or tricks that they were unaware of.
As more of a VIM beginner, much of the keyboard shortcuts went into my brain and then quickly right out again. But, when I do start using VIM I will have a better understanding of what is possible and how to use it to get the most benefit from it.
I had my laptop with me, which was useful to test out the commands as they were being talked about.

Great talk. It was very helpful for me, but I'm not sure the talk really helped anyone who wasn't already familiar with vim and the command line.
Interesting talk. I still haven't used VIM but at least now I know some of the basics of mouse-free code editing.
