Very interesting and informative, es. to see how large scale the Drupal internals are being ported to Symfony and the upstream submissions / usage increase.
Overall I thought this was pretty good, I'd have enjoyed a bit more depth with maybe some rough examples of what sort of thing has been swapped out- i.e. the main problems with the respective Drupal component(s) and how replacing them with Symfony2 components acheived x y z goals, but otherwise, a good summary of what's happening in Drupal in relation to Symfony2.
This was an interesting talk, however I did feel it was more of a sales pitch of Drupal than a technical evaluation of the "open heart surgery" the project is undergoing. I would have liked to see a bit more of the technical detail perhaps.
Early parts of the presentation were a bit remedial given Dries' morning keynote, but I appreciated the technical half of the presentation, which outlined how Drupal was applying Symfony2 components and discussed the release timeline. In particular, the timing notes would complement Fabien's later talk on his RFC for Symfony2 release cycles.
