Pentesting (for fun and profit)

Unfortunately this was pretty useless and boring. I think most of us was expecting talk with more demos and examples. I mean, the room is full of professional web developers, no need to cover the basics.

I found it very interesting, getting more conscious about the threats and possibilities. Going to get the sheets if available and have a look around in this 'world' of pentesting

Could you please add the sheets to this joindin event?

I did have more demonstrations of the tools prepared, but time was against me. I'll aim for a better balance next time.

Could use some more demo time but 45minutes just isn't enough for a talk like this. I do feel about 80% of the talks at dpc could use an extra 15minutes so this is hardly your fault and more something the organisers should take into account. You spoke very calmly, clearly and made some good points. Nice talk!

I understand the theoretical background in this talk since Clinton is more academic than the majority of the audience, but it would have been nice to see a live demo or a real-life showcase to make the theory stick better.
On the other side we cannot have enough wake-up calls to (re)consider the security risks we face on a daily basis.

It is quite clear from the presentation that you have an academic background. I liked the general overview and think you provided some good pointers, but when it comes to tools for pentesting I would have liked a more hands-on demonstration.
