This was a great overview on what you can currently do with AI in your daily code workflow. I appreciate all of the resources you shared with us, and the hackathon was really fun. I can't believe the games that the groups made in 45 minutes with the help of AI, that was such a great idea. Another attendant and I remarked how quickly the time went by, I can't imagine how much cooler the games would have become with another hour or so of dev time.

Josh did great digging into and comparing the AI landscape. I appreciated the introduction and comparisons to various AI options. Loved the coding challenge, was fun to actually see and use AI to generate a CLI game quickly and surprisingly well.

This was probably the most engaging and useful time spent at CascadiaPHP.
I think Josh cleverly moved away from moot discussions on AI theory and ethics (more appropriate for computer scientists and academics), and rather focused on the tools available for us developers. He effectively showed how we can take advantage of the - rather stunning - powerful AI technology, to either augment our coding performance, or using open-source AI models to build better and more useful apps.
The session was well designed and structured.
