A good overview of what is possible with node.js and some open source libraries, plus chromium, to build a "desktop webapp".
He didn't mention the main drawbacks of this approach ("binary" size, possible npm modules conflicts, performance, etc.)

Maybe not everybody will use electron in their own projects, but it was nice seeing it presented this way.
