Embedding V8 into PHP allows for e.g. server side rendering of React applications, reusing existing JavaScript code on the server-side or for sandboxed server-side scripting (of 3rd party code). This talk shows what ext-v8js can do as well as how react-php-v8js and DreamFactory leverage v8js.

I'm not sure about the production value of this talk, but it is a nice and very interesting insight on using Javascript in PHP. Some metrics about performance were also shown on the slides.
