Some interesting panel members, but they were unfortunately drowned out a little by a couple just trying to be controversial for the sake of it. They got a little bogged down arguing with one audience member about open standards. They then went on to say things like "IE6 was a great browser and a standard" and naming .doc and .rtf in the context of open standards!

Once they'd quietened down a bit, the other members were able to discuss relevant topics. Overall not as insightful as I'd hoped.

Yes, I was a panel member.

Pretty much agree with comments above. We seemed to go around in circles or dwell too long on the same question.

Perhaps to make it more interesting next year, panel members should have been directed to adopt certain positions/attitudes to see them try to defend them and make it more entertaining for the audience.
