A good introduction to Shorewall, which generally takes a lot of the mysticism out of iptables. Shorewall organizes the complexity iptables into a more "application" approach, similar to commercial products such as Zone Alarm. And Doran did a great job putting the complexity into terms that are likewise less intimidating.

I've been wanting to use shorewall at home, but wasn't sure where to start. This was a great intro and I definitely plan on taking what I learned and setting it up at home.

Basic introduction to installing and configuring Shorewall. I wish there had been more to the presentation as it was very short and didn't show very much of the application. Presenter demonstrated installing shorewall and configuring it to allow ssh traffic between various interfaces.
