highly entertaining, shame about the colour contrast on the slides.

I am sorry but i did not see the lessons in this talk except a very far fetched parralel between php and knitting. Knitting still sounds very boring to me.

I actually learnt quite a bit about knitting!
Nice to see how the Knitting and the PHP communities have lessons to learn from each other.
Also, good job on handling the dodgy projector contrast!

Katy talked with great enthusiasm and clarity, it's always great to see people talk about their passions.

I found it hard to get any takeaways from this talk, but I enjoyed it all the same and I think every conference needs a talk that provides a little comic relief. This talk in particular is packed with brilliant knitting-code puns!

I think the way this talk could provide the most value is if the concepts were flipped the other way around, as a tool to help people (in particular but not exclusively) the older generation understand the concepts of coding by using 'code' they already understand.

This talk as certainly worth hearing and I'd like to see more talks from Katy in the future.

I really enjoyed this talk. Katy was obviously very passionate about both knitting and programming!
As mentioned, she dealt with the contrast problem on the projector well.
It was nice to have a talk that wasn't *too* tech heavy.
Drew some interesting parallels between knitting and programming - interesting history of punch cards for software.
I get the thing to take away from this is that (surprisingly), there are still actually some markets that haven't been improved or helped with software. If you're looking to break the next big thing, this could be just the idea you were looking for!!

I really like this talk; I find the relating of things we do every day as developers to more tangible creations fascinating.

Well done in coping admirably with the projector issue!
