would have liked a bit more depth. Perhaps even a bit varnish live?
Also no "solution" for the multiple times mentioned cookie problem.

Hello Fabian; I did show commonly removing GA tracking cookies; however, here are several examples from varnish on removing cookies inside of VCL. https://www.varnish-cache.org/trac/wiki/VCLExampleRemovingSomeCookies

Ultimately if you know that the cookie means nothing to you; you simply unset the cookie inside of VCL and allow it to pass through.
