The chosen venue for the social on Friday night wasn't a good match. Conference socials are about talking with others and that's not possible with such loud music in the background. And the club was somewhat cheesy.
The socials were very good. I was not too fond of the venue for the 2nd social and this became very cramped after a while due to the amount of people that came and the limited size. I liked the pub on the 3rd night. Not far from the venue and was a good environment to stand and chat to speakers and other attendees.

First night social was great - good space, the drinks didn't seem to run out, friendly crowd.
Second night - I left as soon as the staff insisted I left my bag with my MacBook in their cloakroom. That's never going to happen.
(I had to head back before the third night kicked in).
