I very much appreciated the hard, concrete definitions at the beginning of the talk. Thanks!

Great speech! We got some great tips on how to communicate with our clients. I especially liked the analogy at the end with, Why use the cloud? Do you keep your money in a sock in a drawer?

I really enjoyed your talk, especially the portion about PaaS. You mentioned 2 young platforms as a service (phpfog, and orchestra.io). I recently found another one that also looks really interesting, http://www.pagodabox.com, and just thought I would throw it out as another potential option.

Good overview of using cloud services for applications. This talk is a good starting point for people wanting to get started with cloud stuff. "Make sure your architecture allows for using clouds services" is something that seems so obvious now that you mentioned it, but not something I had explicitly thought about before.

Good talk! The answer to the question about downtime mitigation would be great in the presentation itself, as I think it's one of the greatest fears.

Great talk. The definition of cloud at the start and considerations for building/deploying application to the cloud were excellent.

Good introduction to the general concepts of cloud computing. Would have liked to see more discrete examples, patterns, and implementations.

Very good pace and good information. Knowledgeable speaker. Perhaps need more eye contact with the audience.

Good coverage of definition of cloud computing and how it can be leveraged for a client. Would have liked more in-depth examples of how to handle the transitions from a single server architecture to the cloud from the perspective of PHP app development.

For those looking for an introduction to cloud computing it's great. The pictures showing what parts were included in the IaaS and PaaS are great visualizations. The only thing I would suggest, as others have before me, is how to mitigate downtime of the cloud.

Heavy on the "in the cloud", but fairly light on the "php development". Very good overview both of what "the cloud" is, what's available (products, services). The examples of actually doing stuff with PHP were awesome, eyeopening, and helpful. Would like to see a LOT more of that, and less of the "cloud 101" stuff.

as expected, this presentation was promotion to the book, but non the less a good talk given by Ivo.

And it summarizes the book very well, with good examples on what PaaS, IaaS and SaaS is all about.

This presentation made for a good overview of the various cloud architectures, and presented several options for scaling in the cloud with PHP. A lot of information to cover, but well presented in under an hour!
