Why don't all websites work at the speed of light?
In this talk, we will take a website and investigate it.
Why is it slow? What is a slow website in the first place?
Then we will run through steps we can take on how to improve the site speed and responsiveness, from infrastructure to code optimizations that are easy to perform and improve dramatically the website.

This talk was wider ranging than I expected. Could have done with some more examples - maybe showing what sort of changes make how much difference?
Some great info in the talk.
For me CDN's are of almost 0 value when you have HTTP2, you have to give away your users data (the CDN knows which sites they come from etc) and also you now need a new connection instead of just streaming over the existing connection.
It was mentioned a few times about losing gzip, but brotli compression is readily available and most (all?) modern browsers support it (HTTPS only)
Slow pace but good content. Remember to check if the audience can see the demo; you were in the way at times. For 4/5 more pace to keep the audience engaged, for 5/5 one or more real examples of websites you brought to light speed.
Some nice examples but a bit slow paced.
Interesting talk that covered a wide ranging topic, the content was good but the delivery could have been faster.
I felt the PHP section could do with more attention, there are many ways that a bad configuration can affect the "speed of light".
Decent talk but appeared quite sporadic.
