2001 is the year I got in touch with PHP v4, starting a new job at a Belgian ISP. It took me all the way to December 2006 to become certified for PHP 4 as Zend Certified Engineer (ZCE). This got me on the mailing list of Zend, with updates of PHP stuff, links to blogs and an announcement for ZendCon 07. I saved my all money to go there where I met Cal Evans. Everything changed since then!
