Amazing talk! Stephanie did an incredible job of blending humor and personal anecdotes to explore the key aspects every team needs to be successful. I'd rate this 6 stars if I could.
This was a incredible talk. Stephanie is an engaging and compelling speaker, and combined her personal stories together with experience across diverse organizations to great effect. The talk was full of great advice for business owners and managers.
I really enjoyed listening to Stephanie present about teams. She's already sparked a conversation with our team about things we could change and improve upon.
ermagerrrrrd. Stephanie is a great speaker, and this was a great talk. A good balance of story-telling (I know so much more about sailing now!) and info delivery for a keynote talk. Her stories were well-chosen to illustrate her points. My only critique is that each section ended with a bulleted list of qualities that are/aren't present when that element of teamwork is going well, and I felt a bit read to on those slides. I'm not sure if the content ought to be more integrated, or if some just needs to be cut. But it's not even enough to drop one star, just room for improvement on an already great talk.
So good! I loved the subject matter of the talk as well as the pacing, and the tie-in between sailing and team building was very apt. 10/10 would recommend.
This was an incredible story about crossing the Pacific! It was a story about team dynamics under crisis situations. And it tied back into helpful ways of managing and working within your team. This keynote was so wonderful! It felt like something that would have been at a larger, corporate event. Absolutely inspiring!
As someone who's read the book this talk was based on it was brilliant to see it applied into a totally different scenario. Very good talk, would be interested in tutorials based on this subject and how to help individuals within the teams overcome fear of conflict - as these concepts are much easier to implement outside of a workplace, sports traditionally having high cohesion between team members.
Stephanie is a very entertaining and inspiring speaker. Her personal experiences and resulting insights into team work were on point. Looking forward to seeing more from this exceptional human.
Incredible talk about working in a team setting where the stakes actually matter (as opposed to most software, which is a playground compared to the open water). Stephanie had the audience hanging on every word yet wasn't afraid to admit when she made mistakes in the race.
