Nice look to open source from a total different point of view. As the title was kind of misleading it was partially unsatisfying to listen as one was always waiting for the relation to the talk and why symfony is still open source.
Still the essence of "Open Source from different angles" (proposal for the title) was transposed very good.

The title though was misleading. It was more or less a general talk. It was more like a keynote (abstract, disconnected).

Men... it is boring
Interesting from a ethical, maybe philosophical point, but not on a developer conference.
The title was "Why is Symfony (still) Open Source?", but the talk left the question open and was far too generic.

Good talk with certain abstractions. Certainly a bit too early for most of the audience.

I found the talk very interesting. A developer is not only a mouse running into a wheel; they can also see the world in different ways.
A developer may also know/talk about Marx, Foucault...
It could've been a 11 o'clock talk though ;)
As most of the people I expected something else. But I was pleasantly surprised.
It was nice to see the open source community from other perspectives.
