Good talk, the speaker had an excellent understanding of the topic. However it seemed like this tool didn't have much use for sites without pretty insane amounts of traffic. I was trying to find ways to apply this to more common situations. Thanks for all the info anyway
Eric did. A great job on this presentation. I had heard of gearman prior, but no idea what it could do.it was also good to hear some real world examples of how you could use it.
It was brave of you to take over a talk that you couldn't rehearse. Even without rehearsing you did very well and you are an enthousiastic speaker. As a bonus, I learned about supervisor. Thank you! As for gearman, I heared voices that gearman belongs to the past and that RabbitMQ is the new thing, although more complicated. I wish I had a use for either.
