That's a huge data dump and I know I'm going to be consulting these slides again and again and again and again. I'm always looking for more tools, though, and so I'm thrilled by this talk.
I loved the information on the slides, but I would have loved to have this been a Q&A about how people were nervous for their next step and how you think their direction should go.
A great high-level overview of tools and techniques that programmers, especially those who may be in the awkward "I'm still figuring this out phase (tip: we all are, forever)", can use to build more confidence in their code. While I'm personally doing a lot of these things already, Beth makes the topic of code quality very approachable, with a strong focus (as usual for her talks) on mentorship and ongoing education.
Some interesting content but perhaps a bit "link heavy" - would prefer to hear what the speaker has to say, and experiences with the different things being talked about, over pointers to websites.
A very well put together presentation of the tools to use and the things to learn to help you write better code. Engaging the audience to maybe get their idea's on either new tools or the ones ones presented. This could help people feel more a part of the process and put things into practice.
Good resources
Nice overview of tools, information and educational sources to help developers write quality code.
Lots of great information and resources here. I don't see a link to the slides so I'll give it here: http://www.treelinedesign.com/slides/bold/boldSlides-16-9SSP.pdf
It's always great to see tons of advice for best practices. Now we just need to see more developers embracing these practices!
