One of my favorite talks so far. The teacher was very organized and engaging, had excellent slides, and pointed us to some great resources. I went in rather skeptical of the premise of the talk but came out convinced of its merits. The speaker said repeatedly that he wanted us to feel empowered and I certainly do, particularly with regard to modernizing legacy apps with new components from Packagist/Composer.

Sammy's a great speaker! He presented a very use case oriented way to look at building your applications. The hidden gem of this talk is that it showed a way to learn about how frameworks that you're less familiar with solve similar problems.

Oh my goodness, what a beautiful slide deck.

Great talk and left me inspired to start a framework-free project.

Very engaging speaker. Great presentation. And, of course, the material presented was practical and useful. I appreciated the repeated insistence that the audience form their own opinions because they, too, were smart people.
