I'm not sure it's possible to overstate the awesomeness of this talk. Great approachable talk about testing concepts in general and the value of testing software.

Smooth presentation style, confident and humorous. Great talk and speaker.

Tim has abbreviated the real-world problems and his lived experience (and old-and-new mindsets) as a developer ... and found a way to convey the value of software testing (particularly automated) to novices and veterans alike.

While this talk was described as "a shallow dive", it wasn't light on content. It covered more than the "need", but also showed "how to" so there were practical take-aways.

Tim has an animated and energetic style of presenting, which is particularly effective when presenting in the last slot of the day!

Tim was one of the best speakers I've seen at Northeast PHP. He covered all aspects of testing, not limiting it to phpunit. Great concepts were introduced, and he was able to answer the most crucial question: "where do we start?".
