Over the years there has been a lot of dogma surrounding what you should be doing and how you should do it when it comes to testing. It's time to take a step back and take a closer look at what tools and practices actually lead to better outcomes when it comes to testing.

In this tutorial I will guide participants through the process of setting up effective test suites and complementary tooling. By the end you'll have a great place to start re-examining your testing practices and using tests as your tool to confidently release code changes into production.

Really lovely and very helpful, especially for a developer who is relatively new (2 years in) to their career in development. This was Chris' last talk on testing, but I can't wait to see what he teaches about next. he's a great teacher.

i came to this conference specifically for more exposure to test experts, so i feel lucky i got to attend Chris's final presentation of this talk. What floored me was discovering i'm already doing a lot of the things he recommends, and have taught myself a lot of the deeper challenges and skills devs need for effective tests. 🤯

This and several other talks have boosted my confidence that i'm not completely off the rails in my development knowledge.
