I had not been aware of all the stuff that is in the Serializer component. I'm definitely going to go into the component a bit more. I see multiple usecases in my projects for this component :)
I already implemented an REST-Api uses the Serializier component. Thanks for the aditionally information about that feature. I will use it to perfect currently project.

Not much of leveraging in my opinion. Some useful feature weren't mentioned (eg. SerializerAwareInterface) and most of the talk was going through different methods to configure JMSSerializer. Showing annotations would be enough, no need to show the same options in YAML or showing serialized data in all formats. I was looking forward to this talk and I am sorry to say that I am dissapointed.
Normally you don't care about stuff like that, but presentation gave a good insight into the serializer component. Might have been a bit shorter but had to fill the whole 50 minute slot I guess.
Talk started out a bit slow and I did not know what to expect. But was pleasantly surprised to see the power of this component presented in an understandable way.

Next time I implement a REST-style API I will look up the serializer again. Great features, well presented.

Good in-depth examples of the component. A bit monotonous, though.
With the presented in mind the upcoming REST APIs will hopefully become better and more robust

This talk opened the eyes for a lot of people on the "small" and 2nd citizen appearing components of the sf2 universe.
It's the small things that count!
And this was given to the audience in a very good way.
