Another great Scott Keck-Warren production, full of great details about working with dates + times safely in PHP. I also love the "Brief History of Time" segment at the beginning, where Scott told us all about how time tracking has evolved throughout the course of humanity.

One suggestion: it's worth mentioning that while you can modify/add/sub DateTimeImmutable instances, the return value will be a *new* instance ('cause, you know, immutable).

A delightful talk that draws parallels between Cori's life as a working musician and career as an engineer.

Sometimes I feel guilty because I do prefer a monolith, like it’s so unpopular. Thanks for the insight.

Thanks for emphasizing backup. Good, well-rounded talk.

Wonderful points made. My favorite part was about pain avoidance. It’s something I talk about regularly with my team.

The session about the huge refactoring project was really good. I especially enjoyed seeing some examples from the “crazy old times” — that part could even have been elaborated a bit more!

PHP truly has the challenge that when someone says “upgrade a project,” it can mean almost anything. There’s no single structure that was always followed, and people did some wild things, especially in the early days.

I think the point is extremely important. I, like you, took apart my first computer (Apple IIe). The extremely technical examples used were probably difficult for my team to follow, though. Just my opinion. Hope that’s not too harsh.

This is a really exciting project and it's great to hear from the creator. I'm looking forward to including this in our project.
