New in 2018: microXchg seeks talks about Serverless and provides mentoring for newcomers!

The IT industry is moving fast: Microservices are used successfully in many industries and applications. Additionally new cloud native and server-less solutions compliment classical microservices arechitecture. Both aim to replace large monolithic applications. And this gives new and fundamental challenges! Microservices based solutions, server less solutions or combinations of them need new approaches for architecture, new technologies, different approaches to operations and different organizational structures. The microXchg conference 2018 looks at all these aspects!

Possible subjects for sessions include:

Microservices-based architectures
Serverless solutions
Cloud native system
Decision criteria's, experiences or implementation patterns for one or the other or both approaches
Operations of heterogenous landscapes
Technologies for the implementation, deployment, and operation
Migration of monoliths to new architecture approaches
Organizational consequences
microXchg has different types of sessions:

Talks will last 50 minutes (incl. Q&A) and provide enough time to cover a topic in detail.
Lightning talks are 15 minutes. This allows to reduce effort in particular for newcomers and also to present niche subjects.
In-depth session are three hours. Ideally those session should cover a topic in detail and also provide hands-on, labs and demos.
The microXchg team believes in diversity and would like to encourage everyone from newcomer to senior speaker of any sex to submit a paper.

Mentoring program: As a community conference we want to support newcomer by a mentoring programm. Will will bring senior speakers in touch with newcomers to support them with their talk preparation. We kindly ask you to mention if you seek mentoring or if you offer to mentor in the field "comments to organizer".
