Fun, inspiring talk. Thanks for sharing, Evan!

Very nice presentation and very entertaining. A good lesson on why side projects and just getting your project out there quickly is worth it.

Funny and well done.

Good stuff. A little vague on the legal liability bit, but an excellent example of how a "can do" attitude can lead to great success.

Super fun talk and great message

So much fun to hear this story again. I first heard it in hushed whispers at a conference hackathon and it blew my mind. Amazed he can give this topic publicly without getting arrested. Ship early, be creative, solve problems, good stuff.

Fun talk ... thank you!

Great story and intro to the conference. Ended up being a bit short in the end (didn't fill the timeslot), but still a good story.

Interesting story. Thanks for sharing.

An amazing story. Thank you for sharing it with us! Loved the push to learn new things and have a side project.

Amazing story. Funny and engaging delivery. Thanks!

Great story. Thanks for sharing.

Good talk - side projects let you ship and experiment without too much riding on success - great message

Great story, inspiring.

Great talk, hearing the stories about how you got started was fascinating. It was very funny and engaging.

Very interesting story, and very well delivered. The kind of thing that makes you think, "He's so young, and he's done so much, I have no chance" as well as "I could do that!!!"

Ended a little early. But that's usually better than the alternative, at least. Would have been happy to listen to more!

Funny and inspirational talk! I started programming in high school too but I guess I was just less dangerous. :o

Solid talk with a really interesting and inspiring story. Evan has a good sense of humor and effectively gets that humor across in his slides. As the keynote presentation to launch a weekend full of talks, I felt the presentation was a bit light on time, but the content was appropriate in setting the tone for the weekend. Nice job!

Great open to Midwest PHP

This was a great talk to kick off the conference - totally surprising, inspiring and energizing! I also taught myself how to code in high school and have warm fuzzies when I hear about kids coding!

liked the idea of not caring you first build something, just build it and get it out there.

This was a great talk. I loved seeing how your project evolved from a highschool side project to something much, much bigger. Loved it. Thank you for sharing your stories with us!

Excellent start to the day, brought back some good memories of the good ol' days and those awesome flip phones

A great, entertaining way to start off the conference...inspired to continue my current side projects and start some new ones!

Great keynote! Interesting, entertaining and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your story with us!

Great talk, amazing story.

I loved your presentation. Was/is totally inspiring. You're great.

Funny, interesting story with a decent point. It could've had more substance. I like good stories, but if I'm at a conference, I'm looking for more value that I can take home with me.

Was awesome, reminded me of my highschool days.... except for on steroids.

Excellent speaker. Really enjoyed the story and the inspiration.

Great inspiration toward scrappiness and opportunism! Fun and lively.
