I'm very much *not* the target audience, and I still managed to learn a couple of things.
Only nitpick: talk about Pinto! Pinto is an excellent way to give change-averse organizations a "safe" CPAN to get their feet wet with.
My only regret after this talk is that I don't know where I'll find the time to play with Elixir.
Solid talk, and learning more about the Erlang VM's roots and underpinning gave real insight into what makes Elixir a compelling choice of language.
I would have liked a little more details on the exact nature of the workers, but overall it was a solid bit of insight into a very common problem.
I knew about GitGot but didn't really appreciate it until this talk.
Also, anyone in there who didn't know about the Silver Searcher just got a major quality of life upgrade
It was an excellent talk that showcased a whole new direction for the web, and Dan was great at rolling with the circumstances (like the lack of a projector).
I need to give Spock a try!
