This month we have Derick Rethans the author of Xdebug, PHP internals contributor, OpenStreetMap and mapping enthusiast. and PHP Engineer/Evangelist on MongoDB.

Text wrangling and word smithing.

This talk covers multiple methods of querying text with MongoDB. From simple string and regexp matching, to full text search indexes. The talk will cover stemming, tokenization and issues while sorting multiple languages.

We will look at techniques for search queries that deal with multiple locales following Unicode specifications. Lastly, we will also look at how to get our data into Elastic Search as a dedicated engine for doing full text search with automatic replication.
