We are glad to announce the PHPBenelux meeting for September 2011 in the Netherlands at the office of hosting company IT-Ernity in Zwolle. The meeting will be held on Tuesday September 6th in Zwolle. During this meeting we will have 2 great talks again from 2 new speakers, Richard Tuin and Marcel van Brakel, and of course some time to meet fellow PHP developers after a long summer (or should we say early autumn?). You just have to sign up to confirm your presence.

Talk 1: Structuring interactive front-ends with backbone.js - Richard Tuin
A well programmed PHP back-end is nothing without a good front-end. And with the current web standards and frameworks you have no excuse to not provide a decent front-end to your users.
It is especially with UI's that are more than just a little bit interactive that it is hard to keep your code and assets structured and organised.
Backbone.js is designed to solve this problem, and this talk will tell you how.

Talk 2: Harness the real power of Drupal - Marcel van Brakel
Drupal, a subject of discussion amongst more and more people. From developers to customers to end users, the demand and interest for Drupal increases.
From a developer and internet bureau point of view it is crucial to know how to and how not to implement Drupal for projects. Decisions to use Drupal as project software versus tailor made applications are important.
Drupal can be a great addition to your project, as long as you harness the real power of Drupal.
