A well presented talk on Hadoop and its using with PHP. I'm not sure I have any use cases for it but came just out of interest as I have no knowledge of Hadoop at all, and did learn a lot about what it is and what it is capable of. Something to keep in mind for future use if the right application comes up.
Some great tips and techniques for managing security of 3rd party code in your projects - took away some useful tips to apply.
Brilliant overview of how it works and some readily available tools. I did some about 12 years ago in Perl for in silico drug design and have thought about picking it up again from time to time; this talk has certainly encouraged me to try it again!
Well presented with clear points. Lots for me to discuss with the management next week.
Slightly ironic technology failure during the talk, but well handled and good real-world comparisons made to illustrate points.
