A well presented talk with just enough technical information to understand the benefits. I spoke to the speaker after in regards to something slightly connected; his knowledge is something I would like to tap into as he resolved my concern within seconds and explained why.
Speaker knew the topic very well and presented it clearly, so for all intents and purposes it was a very solid, informative talk. A pinch of humour would have made it perfect!
Good introduction to the PHP database drivers and Andrew seemed to be really enthusiastic about the topic. Also good to know mysqlnd is the default driver in PHP 5.4+, but will definitely try this out on any projects using a lower version of PHP.
One negative, maybe too much time was spent at the start about the free tools his company provides, I found it a little irrelevant to the rest of the talk.
