Opening Keynote: Stealing People Lessons from Artificial Intelligence

Maybe I'm a bit old fashioned, but is a keynote talk really the right place for swearing? Makes me doubt anything I'm being "taught"

Amused at the of the insights I recognised into managers that I've had, and embarrassed at some of the traits I recognised in myself as a manger... avoiding the more obvious pitfalls of the phb in Dilbert can only take you so far, but this advised on some of the less obvious failings to avoid.

Amusing and insightful in equal parts; and provided a few references for future reading

Simply great insights into people, really. Loved the scientific approach and the pointers for further reading, the explanations of the different styles of learning and approaches to management.

As far as I'm concerned there's much room for improvement in our industry and I certainly think knowing something about the theory behind it might actually help (a lot!)

Really awesome keynote. I took away quite some interesting lessons from this and I've added some books to my reading list after this one. Thank you very much.

Great talk and has given me lots to think about as I spend more of my time in a team lead role supporting other developers.
Now to go and buy a couple of the recommended books...

What a way to start a conference. I now have lots of new reading material to get through, as well as knowledge of the right things that help to grow and nurture those in an organisation. Thoroughly enjoyable.

An incredibly well presented, funny and insightful look into the lessons we learn about people from artificial intelligence and robots. I find this to be especially interesting as it seems like a complete role reversal. One would expect us to use our 'human knowledge' to better create robots and AI, it was incredibly interesting to see that we can also flip this and learn people lessons from AI.

I always find these type of talks interesting. I think the point was that humans are not robots, so you cant manage them like that?

I will be using the purpose, autonomy, mastery and inclusion principles definitely!
