Show screenshots of how you use the Field Group module.
Is there a submodules or a contributed module that defines a few common paragraph types? Even Drupal core gives us two content types as a starting point.
If you want a sure with one Paragraph per text paragraph, it would help to configure a very restricted text format. Maybe get a field formatted that creates lists automatically.

There is the Paragraphs Pack module (https://www.drupal.org/project/paragraphs_pack) but I prefer to create a feature using the Features module that has only the Paragraph types I want with all of the configuration I like.
